Sample text goes here: This is a 12 foot granite monument with inscriptions of soldiers around the monument. The inscriptions under “In Southern Graves” include soldiers in the 4th and 29th Iowa Infantry Regiments. There are also inscriptions listed as “Died since the War.” This monument is in Oakland Cemetery near Carbon. About one mile east of Carbon, take Hickory Avenue south for about 1/2 mile and the cemetery is to the right or west of the road. The monument is in the north section of the cemetery.
